Americans with Disabilities Act symbolsAmericans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

The Town of Leesburg prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in its services, programs, accessibility and activities. We support the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and attempt to provide access to our services and programs. Upon request, reasonable accommodations will be made, if accommodations do not fundamentally alter the nature of the program or service or impose an undue financial burden.

 ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan

DAC employee surveying sidewalkUnder Title II of the ADA, the Town is required to complete a self-evaluation of the Town's public facilities, programs, and activities to determine compliance with the ADA and any barriers to accessibility. Once the self-evaluation is complete, the Town will develop a transition plan to prioritize the identified barriers and how they will be corrected. The Town has hired Disability Access Consultants (DAC) to assist with the self-evaluation and transition plan process.
