Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The Town of Leesburg prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in its services, programs, accessibility and activities. We support the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and attempt to provide access to our services and programs. Upon request, reasonable accommodations will be made, if accommodations do not fundamentally alter the nature of the program or service or impose an undue financial burden.
ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan
Under Title II of the ADA, the Town is required to complete a self-evaluation of the Town's public facilities, programs, and activities to determine compliance with the ADA and any barriers to accessibility. Once the self-evaluation is complete, the Town will develop a transition plan to prioritize the identified barriers and how they will be corrected. The Town has hired Disability Access Consultants (DAC) to assist with the self-evaluation and transition plan process.

Requesting Reasonable Accommodation
Our customers can request accommodations by several means:
- Directly contact the department with which you are doing business.
- Submit an online ADA Accommodation Request.
- Complete and submit the Town’s ADA Accommodation Request fillable PDF form. You will need to save the form to your computer and either email or mail it to the Town.

Town Council Meetings
Assistive listening devices are available in Town Council Chambers at Town Hall. Meeting agendas and minutes are available online at www.leesburgva.gov/agendas. Meetings are broadcast live on the Town’s local government access channel (Comcast Channel 67 and Verizon FiOS Channel 35) and are streamed live on the Town website at www.leesburgva.gov/webcasts.

Title II of the ADA requires all state or local government entities with 50 or more employees to appoint a responsible person to coordinate the administrative requirements of ADA compliance and to respond to complaints filed by the public. The Town of Leesburg’s ADA Coordinator is:

In addition to the designated ADA/504 Coordinator, the Town of Leesburg has an interdepartmental ADA Compliance Committee. The Committee members are the designated ADA Liaisons for key governmental functions of the Town. As representatives for their assigned department, they are advocates for compliance to the ADA Standards.

The form may be printed and mailed to the ADA Coordinator at the above address.
The grievance form must be submitted within 60 days of the alleged discrimination incident.

Loudoun County Disability Services Board
The Disability Services Board (DSB), an at-large advisory body appointed by the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, serves as a resource to the Board of Supervisors by identifying and advising on issues of importance to people with physical and sensory disabilities, their families and caregivers. Its members work with county staff, community partners and businesses to strive to make Loudoun County an accessible and inclusive community for all people.
